Introduction
Welcome to Oceanlab Aquariums. By engaging with our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read these terms carefully before using our services. If you do not agree to these terms, you should not use our services.
Services Provided
- Aquarium Sales: We sell a variety of aquariums and related equipment.
- Fish and Axolotl Sales and Purchases: We buy and sell a variety of fish, axolotls, and other marine life.
- Installation Services: We provide installation services for aquariums and all associated equipment for a fee.
- Maintenance Services: We offer maintenance services to ensure the proper functioning of your aquarium, including cleaning, with weekly, biweekly, and monthly maintenance plans available for a fee.
- Feeding Services: We can add auto feeders to your aquarium or feed the fish and axolotls daily for a fee.
- Shipping of Fish and Axolotls: We ship fish, axolotls, and other marine life to your specified address.
Responsibilities and Limitations
- Feeding of Fish and Axolotls: We are not responsible for the daily feeding of your fish and axolotls unless you opt for our feeding services. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure their aquatic pets are fed appropriately. However, we offer auto feeders and daily feeding services for a fee.
- Inspection of Used Items: While we inspect all used items before installation, we are not responsible for any damage that occurs after the installation is completed. Customers must regularly check and maintain their equipment.
- Marine Life Acquisition: We assist customers in purchasing marine life, including coral, fish, and axolotls. However, we are not responsible for any deaths of marine life once they are placed in the aquarium, unless water tests conducted by us indicate incorrect water conditions.
- Water Supply: We will use the customer’s water for aquarium setup and maintenance. If customers require us to transport water to their location, an additional fee will be charged.
- Dead on Arrival (DOA) Policy: If the fish or axolotl arrives at your house and is dead in the package, we will provide a full refund. Customers must notify us by the end of the delivery day with photographic evidence of the deceased fish or axolotl in its original packaging.
Fees and Payments
- Installation Fees: Installation services are provided for a fee, which will be agreed upon before the commencement of any work.
- Maintenance Fees: Ongoing maintenance services, including cleaning, are provided for a fee. We offer weekly, biweekly, and monthly maintenance plans, and the details of these plans and associated costs will be provided at the time of service agreement.
- Feeding Fees: Auto feeders and daily feeding services are available for a fee. The details and costs will be provided at the time of service agreement.
- Transportation Fees: Customers are responsible for all transportation fees associated with the delivery and installation of aquariums and related equipment. Additionally, if we need to transport water to the customer’s location, an extra fee will apply.
- Shipping Fees: Shipping of fish, axolotls, and marine life is provided for a fee, which will be agreed upon at the time of purchase.
- Price Changes: All of our prices depend on market conditions and are subject to change. We reserve the right to adjust our prices at any time without prior notice.
- Final Sales: All sales are final unless there is an issue from the manufacturer.
Water Quality Testing
- We offer water quality testing as part of our installation and maintenance services. If the water tests do not meet the required standards, we will take necessary corrective actions.
- If water tests indicate that the water quality is correct, any subsequent issues with marine life are not the responsibility of Oceanlab Aquarium.
Liability
- Limitation of Liability: Oceanlab Aquariums shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with the use of our services, including but not limited to the loss of aquatic life, damage to property, or any other losses.
- Customer Responsibility: Customers are responsible for the day-to-day care of their aquariums, including feeding of fish and axolotls (unless our feeding services are used), monitoring water quality, and regular equipment checks.
Governing Law
These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Virginia. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Virginia.
Changes to Terms
Oceanlab Aquariums reserves the right to modify these terms of service at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website, and continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
